‘And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.’ – Matthew 16:16

History is filled with good people who made positive impacts on the world. Teachers, philosophers, and moral leaders have inspired millions. But Jesus stands apart from them all. Without the resurrection, He would have been remembered as just another good man with wise teachings. But the empty tomb changes everything—it proves He was exactly who He claimed to be: the Son of God. This isn’t about comparing religions or philosophies; it’s about recognizing the unique nature of Jesus’ identity. Only one person in history predicted His own death and resurrection and then fulfilled that prediction. Only one person conquered death itself. This reality transforms how we approach Jesus. He’s not just a teacher to admire or an example to follow—He’s the living God who loves you personally. When you pray, you’re not talking to a historical figure or a distant deity; you’re communicating with the One who proved His divine nature by walking out of the grave. That changes everything about your relationship with Him.

Reflection
How does recognizing Jesus as more than just a good teacher but as the risen Son of God change your daily relationship with Him?

Quote
Without the resurrection, Jesus would have just been another good man. But it is through the resurrection that we see he was more than just the man. He truly was the Son of God.

Prayer
Lord Jesus, help me to see You not just as a historical figure, but as the living Son of God who is actively involved in my life today.
