“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” – Acts 1:8
One of the most powerful tools for sharing the gospel isn’t a theological degree or perfect Bible knowledge—it’s your personal story. Every believer has a testimony of how God has worked in their life, and that story carries incredible power. In John 9, we read about a man born blind whom Jesus healed. When the religious leaders questioned him aggressively about Jesus, trying to trap him in theological debates, his response was beautifully simple: “I don’t know whether he is a sinner. But what I do know is that I was blind and now I see.” He couldn’t answer all their questions, but he could share what he knew to be true about his own experience. Your story doesn’t have to be dramatic to be meaningful. Whether God brought you from addiction to freedom, from despair to hope, from loneliness to belonging, or simply from spiritual blindness to sight—your transformation matters. The greatest witness you have is how God has changed your life. God hasn’t called us to be His defense attorneys, arguing every theological point. He’s called us to be witnesses—people who can say, “This is what God has done in my life.” Your story is unique, unrepeatable, and undeniable. No one can argue with your personal experience of God’s grace. Every believer should be able to share their story in 60 seconds. Not because we need to rush, but because clarity and simplicity often carry more power than lengthy explanations.
Reflection
If someone asked you to share in 60 seconds how God has changed your life, what would you say?
Quote
The greatest witness you have is your story of how God transformed your life, how he brought you from darkness into light, how he brought you from addiction to freedom, how he has moved and transformed your life.
Prayer
Lord, help me to see the beauty and power of my own story. Give me confidence to share how You’ve transformed my life with those who need to hear it.
